Svetlana
Svetlana was born in the USSR during the height of the Cold War. Already with a passion for harmony, she won the global Peace Child competition at just 15 years old. As a Peace Ambassador, Svetlana was flown to Washington DC to discuss the impact of the Cold War on children and ways those involved could facilitate peace.
With the Cold War over she won a scholarship to the University of Texas and at the age of 21, moved from Moscow to the USA where she received a bachelor’s degree in English followed by MBA in Information Systems.
Moving straight into a high-powered, high-stress job and spending years feeling corporate pressures left Svetlana not only exhausted but suffering from an autoimmune disease. Despite help from doctors and medicines, her health continued to suffer.
Svetlana began to think this was just a result of corporate lifestyle until she decided to take time out in Bali. Giving herself this mental and physical rest, showed Svetlana there was a different way. She started to understand the intense pressure she was putting her body through and the correlation between her job, her lifestyle and her health.
With more research, Svetlana realised that the mental demands she had been putting on herself through her job and lifestyle exceeded her physical capacity. In Bali, she developed a growing awareness of the harmonious connection between mind and body and looked for non-invasive sustainable treatments to help with her health and well-being.
Returning to the UK, she decided to enrol in several courses at the College of Naturopathic Medicine to be a holistic health coach and natural chef.
Studying nutrition, holistic coaching, natural cooking, and biomedicine Svetlana changed her diet and her lifestyle, in the process discovering a fundamental transformation in her health and wellbeing.
Svetlana personally experienced the power that holistic health coaching has across all aspects of her life. From this point, Svetlana knew she wanted to combine her teaching skills, her understanding of a corporate environment and her knowledge of nutrition and health to help others achieve the same life-changing experience.
Now Svetlana works as a well-being consultant with a range of personal and corporate clients, offering help and guidance to make a difference in their lives and finding harmony between diet and lifestyle on their journey to becoming the best they can be.
